The health and well-being of our attendees is our highest priority. We are paying close attention to guidance provided by the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) and following the lead of these agencies and local health authorities, and continue to monitor this situation while we will keep moving forward with plans to deliver an exceptional meeting.
The 8th Edition of the International Human Microbiome Consortium Congress will take place this year in Barcelona on June 28 to 30, as planned, and celebration of the World Microbiome Day will be held on June 27 all day long.
The evolution of the COVID-19 epidemic indicates that by the end of June there will be a negligible risk of viral transmission. By that time, the average daily temperature in Barcelona is around 28 º C.
What if despite all predictions, the Congress had to be cancelled? In the unlikely event of cancellation, the Organisation would reimburse the registration fees to all our attendees.
